Hatches aka Henry Halsell is a composer and producer specializing in film scores and electronic music.
After finishing an undergrad in Music Studies at Penn State Hatches relocated to Philadelphia in 2021. In 2022 Hatches started performing live with a DJ collective called Bbycorp while honing their compositional skills. During this time they mainly worked on experimental electronic music meant to be played in live settings but they consistently missed the film scoring work they had done in college.
In 2025 Hatches was accepted to Berklee College of Music for a masters in Film Scoring. While at Berklee Hatches began developing a more complex writing style centered around principles of film scoring and orchestral music while still trying to remain true to their electronic roots. The result is a dreamy mix of pulsing electronic rhythms with classical textures that are employed to evoke a sense of time and place and resonate with the emotions of the audience.
Hatches is and avid collaborator and is currently searching for collaborators for the next creative endeavor.
